The nine-point theme buying checklist
A theme is a long-term relationship with someone else's code. Inspect it like one.
Themes are the most returned category in digital commerce, almost always for avoidable reasons.
Structure over screenshots Open the file tree first. Clear folder naming, documented build steps and no vendored mystery bundles are stronger signals than any hero image.
Performance budget We measure a demo install cold. Anything that ships a megabyte of unused JavaScript does not get listed.
Support window Six months minimum, in writing, from the maker. Themes without a stated support window are not curated on DigitalNest.
